2. Statement of elected plan

If I get elected, I plan to help the International Division to grow in three-fold. To start with, I plan to work closely with the Graduate Student Assembly (GSA). GSA is the hub for graduate students to share ideas and make connections, and large portions of the GSA members are international students. Working with GSA will help International Divisions to recruit more graduate students who are passionate about the field, yet have a plethora of questions. This will lead to the second element of the growth. I will be planning on having a mentorship program to connect faculty members within International divisions and international students. The goals of having the mentorship program is not only to help graduate students have a deeper understanding of the academic arena, but also help faculty members to find students who share the similar research interests while serving the community. Last but not the least, I plan on working closely with AECT International affiliations. Currently, there are different affiliations within AECT across the world, and International Divisions can be a wonderful bridge to help those affiliations to connect with AECT and be more active and engaging.
