VP Professional Development

Hamid Nadir
University of North Carolina Greensboro

I am an Assistant Professor in Library & Information Science at the University of North Carolina Greensboro. I started my teaching career as a middle school teacher. I have been intrigued by how technology and the environment can impact learning and instruction. My current research focuses on STEM education and how engineering design can improve classroom instruction. My past research includes inquiry, scaffolding, design problem solving, maker technology, and adult learning. I have worked as an Instructional Designer and been a steward for diversity initiatives on campus. In the past, I have performed as a Graduate Student Representative in the Research & Theory Division and Graduate Student Assembly.
As VP of Professional Development, I will be creating learning opportunities on the current and emerging topics in our field.
