Catherine Leavitt

Hi, my name is Catherine Leavitt, and I am currently a doctoral student (and former Master’s student) at Idaho State University in Instructional Design and Technology.  My research focuses on the integration of technology into the K-12 classroom and how that can affect the learning experience. I have worked in K-12 education for 20 years, having taught in Texas, Canada, and Idaho. Currently, I teach 5th grade in Pocatello, Idaho.  While I am relatively new to AECT, during the 2022 AECT conference I was a conference volunteer and session moderator. I feel this organization will be my professional home, and I look forward to getting more and more involved.  I have recently been appointed to be the Chair of Special Projects for the Technology Integrated Learning Division, and I hope to continue serving the division as its Secretary.
