Systems Thinking & Change
Division Board Member (2 Positions)

Rebecca Clark-Stallkamp
Virginia Tech

Rebecca Clark-Stallkamp is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Instructional Design and Technology program at Virginia Tech. She is a Graduate Assistant in the College of Engineering where she is a lead instructional designer for Virginia Tech Engineering Online’s (VTEO) master’s certificate program for Civil and Environmental Engineering. Her main area of research is the intersection of instructional design and online learning. Her research focuses on dialogic argumentation as a pedagogical tool to manage inherent uncertainty of ill-structured problems and to promote critical reasoning skills. Rebecca has served in the past as GSA STC representative and now participates in the STC Publications Committee. Systems thinking has opened opportunities and new approaches to analysis that provide a more holistic understanding of her research, her working environment, and the world around her. She would love to be part of the next STC board to both give back and continue growing in her knowledge of systems thinking.
