Anne Fensie, M.Ed., is a doctoral student at the University of Maine and a university lecturer in computer science and educational technology. Her work as an educator includes supporting faculty with instructional technology, adult education administration, instructional design in distance education, and teaching in K-12 and higher education. Her research focuses on adult learners in distance education and instructional design. Anne is an active member of AECT and the GSA, making several significant contributions, such as a new podcast for the Learner Engagement Division. Her goal is to engage more members of the GSA through various communication efforts, like a website, social media platforms, the newsletter, and other ongoing social communication tools, reducing the isolation that many graduate students can feel in distance education. Anne is very skilled with technology and communication platforms, having managed all of these as an adult education administrator for 10 years before moving to instructional design in higher education, and is also proficient in documentation and organization.
