Study Title:Instructional Designer Decision Making in Practice
You are being asked to participate in a study that will explore the types of decisions made by instructional designers in practice. You are being asked to participate in this study because you are a member of the Association of Educational Communication & Technology and are involved in instructional design. The feedback provided will be used to further enhance and improve the training of instructional designers.
The data gathered from this study will be used by a research team from Old Dominion University composed of Justin Sentz and Dr. Jill Stefaniak to examine the types of decisions made by instructional designers in practice. The information will be used to further enhance and improve the training of instructional designers.
If you agree to take part in this research study, you be asked to provide consent to: 1) fill out a questionnaire regarding your instructional design practices that will take approximately 15 minutes to complete, 2) allow the researchers to observe your completion of an online instructional design activity within a 30-minute time frame, and 3) participate in a debriefing interview that will take approximately 15 minutes to complete.
