Study Title: Professionals in Instructional Design and Educational Technology: Survey of Competencies and Educational Technologists

Our team at Purdue University is exploring competencies needed on the job for professionals working as an instructional designer, educational technologist, technology integration coach/specialist, or related roles. Your insights can help understand what knowledge, skills, abilities, and attitudes are particularly important for professionals in the field

This comprehensive survey will help to:

  • Identify knowledge, skills, abilities, and attitudes currently needed on the job
  • Determine which of these competencies are preferred to be taught in a higher ed program, and which can be gained at work
  • Determine if and how those competencies differ across industries and roles

As a token of our appreciation, you can sign up to receive a white paper based on the data from this survey.

Questions about the survey? Please contact PI: Marisa Exter, PhD at mexter@purdue.edu

Thank you for your participation,
