Samantha Goldstein is a corporate and higher education practitioner who is currently a Senior Enablement Lead at LinkedIn, where she is directly responsible for onboarding hundreds of new hires to the organization each year while partnering closely with cross-functional partners to manage this complex, custom, and scalable program. Key projects she has managed include the curricular and operational redesign of a 6-hour virtual training on sales methodology, a revamp of the operations supporting line-of-business training, and the North America launch of a new series of onboarding live sessions. In addition, she owns her own company, StoryShifted, LLC, a boutique career consulting firm.
Her professional practice is informed by her experiences as a higher education researcher, consultant, and advisor. Before joining LinkedIn, Samantha worked with over 100 post-secondary institutions to help streamline operations, improve student services, and grow their online programs. She has seen first-hand the magic that happens when scholars and practitioners come together to share information and find solutions to complex problems.
Samantha believes deeply in OTP's goal to bridge the gap between research and practice and has been an active participant in the division, first as a GSA Representative (2020 - 2021), a member-at-large (2021 - 2022), and VP of Communications (2022 – 2023). She has been a co-lead on OTP’s regular knowledge share meetings, a member of the scholarship committee, and a recipient of OTP’s Graduate Student Convention Scholarship. In her role as VP of Communications, Samantha will be leading OTP’s initiative to move to Higher Logic, while simultaneously increasing the visibility of OTP and networking opportunities available to members. As President-Elect, Samantha will continue to provide guidance and leadership to the OTP Division while increasing opportunities for scholars and practitioners to form connections, both professionally and personally through formal and informal connection opportunities. She is committed to transparent communication and responsiveness to Division members’ needs and feedback.
Samantha lives in Chicago with her husband and enjoys trying new recipes, reading thrillers, and traveling.
