Maureen Ellis
East Carolina University

My name is Maureen Ellis, and I am an Associate Professor of Instructional Technology in the Department of Mathematics, Science, and Instructional Technology Education at East Carolina University. I am running for President-Elect for the Design & Development Division. I am currently an active member of AECT, and have worked with the organization in various capacities since 1999 as a doctoral student at Indiana University Bloomington. As an academic at East Carolina University, I am dedicated to continuously improving my teaching, scholarship, and service to the field. I have actively participated in professional organizations and served in various capacities as a professional board member throughout my career.

I have an incredible work ethic and am willing to put in the time and effort to support and advance the vision and goals of the Design and Development Division. If I am chosen to serve the Design and Development Division as President-Elect, I will work to identify opportunities to assist the organization, division, and membership. I believe that I have a strong understanding of AECT and the Design and Development Division. I am sincerely looking forward to identifying strategies that will promote interaction and communication with the board and our membership, while also connecting with other organizational divisions. If elected, I look forward to doing my best to excel with all challenges presented.
