Sheri Conklin

Sheri Conklin, Ed.D., is the Director of e-Learning at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) and lecturer for the Instructional Systems Technology program at UNC Charlotte. As Director, she manages a team of instructional designers who provide online and blended course development assistance and professional development for faculty.  Additionally, she collaborates with colleagues both internally and externally on research projects. Internally, she collaborates with her team, administration, and faculty to design professional development, research and implement educational technology tools. As a result of this collaboration, policies that affect online and blended learners and faculty are revised and reviewed to improve the online teaching and learning experience. Externally, she collaborates on research projects that enhance online course design.  She has been a member of AECT since 2005, attending and presenting at the conference regularly. Dr. Conklin has become more connected with the Design and Development division. She was a Design and Development competition finalist in 2014 and continued her service as a Board Associate with the D&D division in 2017-2018 and has recently signed on to become a mentor for the Design and Development competition. She has also served as a proposal reviewer for the Design and Development Division and the Distance Learning Division.
