Dana AlZoubi
Mississippi State University

Dr. Dana AlZoubi holds a Ph.D. in Educational Technology and Human-Computer Interaction (co-major) from Iowa State University. She is a human-centered researcher, passionate educator, and currently works as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Instructional Systems and Workforce Development Department at Mississippi State University. Her research lies at the intersection of learning sciences, educational technology, and human-computer interaction – three fields that inform her work on employing human-centered approaches to design technology tools such to improve teaching and learning processes. Her current work centers around designing innovative instructor dashboards with instructors rather than for instructors to promote their self-awareness about their teaching practices. She also examines sensemaking processes and reflective practices that instructors go through while using automated systems. She utilizes engaging approaches in her teaching practices with the core tenets of building empathy, problem solving, and co-design processes. She is the current AECT Strohbehn intern and has served in different divisions such as CLT and D&D.
