Linda Wiley
Lees-McRae College/Baker University


Linda Wiley is an LMS Administrator/Instructional Designer at Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, NC. She is also a doctoral candidate in Baker University’s Instructional Design and Performance Technology Program. At AECT, Linda is currently LED’s Communications Officer and GSA’s Past President. She is a Higher Logic Steering Committee member – a group focused on centralizing and streamlining member communication to increase engagement and community. At Baker University, Linda led the creation of its first-ever Instructional Design and Performance Technology Student Association and served as its inaugural president.

Linda possesses over 30 years of experience in K12 teaching and educational technology. After starting as a teacher in Wichita Public Schools (KS), she shifted to the education technology sector, where she enjoyed traveling the country and helping teachers leverage technology to accelerate student learning. As the Vice President of Active Learning Experiences at Achieve3000, she developed internal employee and customer-facing learning experiences. At ASCD, an education nonprofit, she led the creation of PD In Focus®, which was honored with the SIIA CODiE Award and the ComputEd Gazette’s EDDIE and BESSIE Awards for Outstanding Professional Development product.

As LED’s President-elect, her goals would be to build on LED’s past successes and create opportunities for members to engage and dialogue within the division, across the organization, and with others passionate about promoting and shaping the direction of instructional interventions related to learner engagement.
