Laura Stapleton is an Assistant Professor at Marshall University in Huntington, WV, having taught Mathematics for 20+ years. She is passionate about learning and designing instruction which actively engages learners of all mathematical levels. After designing developmental mathematics programs for her university and state, she wanted to expand her knowledge of instructional design. She pursued and completed her Ph.D. in Instructional Design & Technology from Old Dominion University in 2021. She has been active in AECT since 2015 and most recently completed her term as Vice-President of Communications for the Design & Development Division, for which she won the Design & Development Service Award. With your vote, she looks forward to serving the Learning Engagement Division as a Program Officer.
