Yingzhuo Quan
Purdue University

Yingzhuo Quan is currently an educational technologist at Purdue University. She started this job in December, 2016. Her responsibilities include researching and investigating new educational technologies, planning and conducting educational tool pilot, facilitating technology using in both face-to-face and online classes, and conducting research studies based on the technology using at Purdue. She attended AECT 2018 in Kansas City as a “First Time Presenter”.

Yingzhuo received her Ph.D. degree in curriculum and instruction with a concentration on educational technology from Indiana State University (ISU) in February, 2018. She worked as a graduate assistant at ISU from 2009 to 2015 and received Outstanding Graduate Assistant award each year. During the 6 years, She assisted ISU faculty in School of Education design and develop multiple courses in both face-to-face and online settings, and facilitated teaching these courses. Her research interests include game-based learning, online learning, visual reality in education, and interactive video use in education.

Before studying at ISU, Yingzhuo received her bachelor degree and her master degree in Film Studies from Communication University of China (CUC, Beijing, China) in 2000 and 2003 respectively. She started teaching film study courses as a teaching assistant in 2002. In 2003, she started to work at CUC as a faculty member. She designed and lectured 3 undergraduate level courses and 1 graduate level course, participated film study/animation program curricula design, and supervised undergraduate students film/animation productions and Master degree theses.
