Graduate Student Representative

Hamid Nadir
Indiana University

I am a Ph. D. student in Instructional Systems Technology (IST), with a minor in Human-Computer Interaction/design at Indiana University. I am an individual with traditional training in education, and an interest in modern technology. My current research interests include problem-based learning (PBL), problem solving, computational thinking, and making. At present, I am working as a Graduate Research Assistant in the IST department. In past, I have performed as an Instructional Consultant and helped faculty, Associate Instructors, and staff with their instructional needs. In addition, I have taught an undergraduate course (W200: Using Computers in Education) for the School of Education. Prior to starting my Ph. D. program, I have taught in the public schools as a classroom teacher. At IU, I held numerous leadership positions, including President of Bangladesh Student Association, Vice-President of Graduates in Instructional Systems Technology, member of Diversity Council and Inclusive Excellence Student Steering Committee. Furthermore, I have served as a volunteer and proposal reviewer in AECT since 2015. I intend to act as a liaison between Research and Theory division and AECT. I would be honored to have your support and would like to ask for your vote. Thank you!
