Sagun Giri
Pennsylvania State University

I am a PhD student at the Learning, Design and Technology Department at the Pennsylvania State University. Prior to joining the PhD program at Penn State, I worked as a research assistant at Dare Institute, Cambridge, MA with Michael Lamport Commons Ph.D., Assistant Professor, Harvard Medical School. With Dr. Commons, I was involved in numerous research projects and studies in stages of development, behavioral development, education technology, and game based learning. I also oversaw and managed summer internship programs and supervised summer interns. In addition to working on research projects and publications, I also worked as Managing Editor for an American Psychological Association (APA) journal, Behavioral Development Bulletin. In this position, I oversaw and managed the production of four journal issues in my one and half year tenure.

My research interests are focused on learning, education technology, and MaketrSpaces. My primary research interest broadly lies in studying the application and impact of Makerspace workshops on students computational thinking perspectives, practices, and concepts.

I would appreciate your vote and your support.
