Graduate Student Assembly
RTD Board Representative

Theresa Huff
Idaho State University

An educator with more than twenty years of experience, I received my Master’s degree in Instructional Design and Technology and am currently working on my Ed.D. in Leadership and Instructional Design and Technology at Idaho State University. I am employed as an Instructional Designer at North Idaho College in Coeur d’Alene, ID, where I support my faculty and students in course improvement, LMS and technology integration, OER adoption and creation, and improving learner engagement.

I have been a member of AECT for over a year, served on the executive planning committee for the 2022 convention, I was a convention volunteer and session moderator, co-presented at the convention, and co-authored a Proceedings paper for the same convention. I also had the privilege of co-authoring a journal article in the November 2022 issue of TechTrends with one of my professors. I am also currently beginning a book project with my major professor, Dr. John Curry.

AECT is my starting point for finding research to support best practices in my work, stay abreast of the latest in my field, and network with trusted individuals. It is my desire to get more involved in and support this organization. Serving as a GSA representative to the Research and Theory Division would help me learn more about how the organization functions and how I can better serve the organization while I continue to study and research as a graduate student.

An approachable collaborator, I am curious, teachable, and dependable. I intend to be a voice and a liaison for the Graduate Student Assembly and the Research and Theory Division and continue to build communication and rapport between them.
