Distance Learning Division Representative

Kelly Ross
University of Oklahoma

Currently I work at the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) as the Manager of Faculty Support and Instructional Design in the Center for eLearning and Connected Environments. In this role, I lead a group of instructional designers and oversee our faculty support services which include individual consultations, informal learning sessions and workshops, as well as online resources. All courses must go through a quality evaluation program and faculty must complete an asynchronous online facilitation course prior to teaching or designing online courses. My team is committed to constant innovation and evaluation of our programs so that we can facilitate the highest quality educational experiences for UCO students in online and blended courses. I have also taught face to face, online and hybrid courses as an adjunct faculty member at UCO, in the First Year Experience Program and in the Department of Adult Education and Safety Sciences. As a second-year doctoral student in the Instructional Psychology & Technology program, my current research interests are related to issues of belonging, academic identity, and motivation in first-year, first generation students.
