Graduate Student Assembly
Design & Development Division Representative

Noah Glaser
University of Cincinnati

My name is Noah Glaser, and I am an Instructional Design and Technology PhD candidate at the University of Cincinnati. Since joining the doctorate program, I have been involved in several graduate student organizations including The Graduate Association for Teaching Enhancement and the Student Organization for Action Research. I would like to continue my involvement in the broader academic community by running for the position of Design & Development Division Representative.

This position appeals to me because the majority of my research interests lay within the field of systems design for instruction. My ongoing dissertation work is framed by Design-based Research and is concerned with the design and development of a virtual reality intervention to teach individuals with autism social and life skills. My positionality within this kind of research makes me a good fit for understanding the vision of the Design & Development Division and would therefore make an excellent candidate for the position of a D&D Representative. In addition, I want to give back to both the D&D organization and to the larger AECT community for all that they have provided me during my growth as an emerging scholar. My background, expertise, passion, and drive to give back to the community makes me a strong fit for this position. Thank you for your support.
